I've heard it all now. This semi-literate oaf, who was an embarassment to Tony Blair's government, and who also said he would never take a seat in the Lords, has now become a Lord! God help us.
I wonder what happened to that woman (Tracy someone) who was his secretary, and who regularly gave him blow-jobs in his office while his staff worked in the next room. Maybe they'll give her a seat in the House of Lords too.
Lord John Prescott...
Re: Lord John Prescott...
Why is he an oaf?Worked his way up form the bottom, why shouldnt he take his place in the lords? Or should we just leave that to the toffs?
Re: Lord John Prescott...
And as for being semi literate, instead of judging him by his accent judge him by what he says, the man is not stupid or thick.
Re: Lord John Prescott...
One thing is for sure,he would never sell his principles down the river and go into coalition with the tories, like these supposedly clever politicians vince cable etc.

Re: Lord John Prescott...
New Labour was basically a coalition, it was Blair's mob who were just a bunch of Tories and the 'old guard' which was headed by John Prescott. That is why Prezza was given the role of Deputy PM - in order to appease the traditional socialist Left within the Labour party. After it made the news that Prescott had been humping his secretary Blair got rid of his departmemt - Prescott however kept his nice salary and pension.

And another life long socialist embraces the old boy network.

Well, given he showed some backbone by having a 'go' at that mullet haired egg throwing oik a few years ago, I have no problem with it.

Labour have done some good things in government but after 13 years finally became part of the establishment. Becoming a lord is the next logical step for old Prezza.
Political banter aside, though, a future house of lords' demographic will hopefully not be the same as the past. As long as Prezza doesn't forget where he came from I think it's a good thing, despite the obvious hypocrisy.
