Iconic and Genius are 2 words I could use to describe him
Knew his art and collected Andy Warhols' works when Andy was 'new' on the scene, and these are worth millions now!
The roles already mentioned, particually Paris Trout are all played with gusto, but the unhinged nutter in Speed was also great

Definitely agree about Blue Velvet. It redefined "psychotic" in cinematic terms. Scary!
