So Davey the wide boy Cameron announced today that the new recesh is on it's way and will be with us for decades.
So that will mean cut, cut, cut (in every sense in pornoland maybe).
In normal land - Services, Wages, Jobs will be cut. Millions more will be forced to go on the dole but oh don't forget Davey boy benefits will be cut to. So what is he really saying here. The results will be millions not thousands of people will lose their homes to banks and building societies ! Thus an easy way for the wankers, sorry bankers to get back some of the money THEY fuckin lost, spent or wasted etc.
Great plan Davey boy you rich CUNT ! Civil War maybe ? I hope so ! Viva la republic and time for a redistribution of wealth !
Zeitgeist is so right - watch it and learn the truth !

Re: Recession Phase II.
Deputy Prime Minister Clegg stated at the weekend that the cuts would be "progressive" cuts.
That's alright then, isn't it? !happy!

Re: Recession Phase II.
'Tough love' innit.
What concerns me is that the information with regard to the budget deficit, projected interest payments, the profligacy of the previous government, the profound doubts of senior civil servants with regard to spending plans that were put before them by the last government, and the need for cutbacks is cming from a single source ... the present government.
What if they're misrepresenting the above to suit their own agenda ? Can we trust them ? Should we trust them ?

Re: Recession Phase II.
Not sure how losing thousands of homes will help out banks/building societies given that the housing market is still on its face, it's in the banks/societies interest that people retain their property in actual fact.
Also when will people realise that there has to be cuts, plain and simple no matter how distateful you find it.
For years people have been used to a glut of money being thrown at them by Labour on the pricipal of if you can't afford it, then borrow it, with the government being voraciously guilty of that same idealism, borrowing billions to fund this that and the other not really thinking that oh if this go's tits up we'll be in the brown stuff.
Oh we delighted in it of course as most of us don't truly understand how the economic model works as we mainly think money grows on trees and credit is a magic word.
Now of course we find out otherwise and moan how terribly unfair it all is. Perhaps it is, but that is reality for you not fantasy.

I don't recall living through this time and feeling like the Labour Party was throwing money at me. You could argue that there was an ideology of consumption and instant gratification promoted by 'opinion makers' typified by popular terminology such as 'Ave it' and 'livin' it large'.
Inasmuch as the Labour Party are opinion makers/formers then they're complicit and rsponsible along with others, but I think it's a leap to say they were 'throwing money at people', however I would accept that people weren't being encouraged to exercise restraint.

Re: Recession Phase II.
Well I meant a more generic 'throwing money at it' statement ie the huge increase in spending in the public sector, the huge increase in employment of civil servants, the huge increase in benefits (and by benefits I don;t just mean the unemplyed etc, tax credits, child credits and so on and so forth) across the board and the general spend spend spend policies.
I didn't see any of it either, but then you and I probably fall into catgeories that didn't require money to be thrown at them perhaps?
Now I can't fault them for trying to please people, but the fact it is it came at an un-payable cost

Re: Recession Phase II.
The Tories have said that they don't intend anyone who is presently unemployed to be worse off (out-of-pocket) by taking a job. Doesn't this mean that tax credits etc are here to stay as a means of supplementing low earnings ?
