My own 'spin'? Fantasy?
There's no fantasy or spin here. British pornstars fly out to LA and Budapest when the work's available. When it dries up they 'fuck off home' as you like to put it. I don't see anything wrong with that. They are, albeit temporarily, economic migrants, just like those Poles and British builders in the 80s.

Well, according to Crofter they 'fucked off back home' when the money dried up so there can't be that many claiming benefits. It seems you and Crofter ought to work this out between you.

If the welfare state in mainland Europe is so much better than ours, why are so many immigrants keen to get into Britain ?
I grant that many want to start a new life and contribute to our society so what is the attraction Britain has for the rest ?

Not sure if by immigrants you are talking about EU immigrants or non-EU immigrants. If you are talking about EU immigrants, the welfare state benefits are higher, I suspect in Holland, Germany, Scandinavian countries
than here. The income tax rates tend to be higher than here.
This is obviously less true for recent additions to the EU such as Poland.
If you are talking about non-EU immigrants, I suspect there are cultural, language reasons why a lot come to Britain.
