Lets face it. Us pornographers are the villains. Lets not make out there is any real merit to pornography here

Speaking for myself I enjoy looking at naked girls and once I buss a nut I can get on with my day but porn does have its place in society and a society without it will be about as miserable as a village in the far reaches of the wastelands of Russia.

Porn is also good for the blood circulation too...Ms Dines failed to mention that. Thing is you cant trash porn entirely. The kind of porn she is railing against is actually easy to defend because it reflects a certain part of the human psyche where people have a need for it. If they didnt vent it then there would be a lot more problems to deal with in our society such as rape. I mean she doesnt even support an alternative to porn such as prostitution

I wont discount she has a point but I think she doesnt really understand what she is talking about and while we might play tennis with an audience reflecting our own bias it really doesnt solve anything does it?

I mean look at Michael Moore, a man who puts his points across so eloquently on celluloid but the world is stil the same damned corrupt place because of peoples apathy and maybe thats why porn is becoming more hardcore because people are being desensitised to life. Not just porn.

Porn is just mirroring the very world we live in.

Think about it....People forget that the pornindustry is populated by living breathing human beings who are complex just like Ms Dines herself who didnt have the same privileges as she has who had to express themselves and be made to make decisions she would find questionable. That is to say porn was born out of people who equally want to make a fast buck and are frustrated artists and therefore vent their ideas in the kind of porn that she loathes.

Again that is to say if porn has ruined your relationship its because your man found solace in fantasy rather than reality and lacked the maturity (as most of us do) to deal with it. Its just too easy, unfair and dismissive to attack Ms Dines on her appearance because you know in our crazy world of porn someone like her would definitely get clusterfucked by young muscley studs if she really wanted to.

Thats if she really really wanted to but meanwhile she , like so many people like her would rather wave a stick and bemoan the ills of us reprobates forgetting that the decision to consume pornonography is done by choice, something she has forgottent o mention

On another note, she does make a good point about the accessibility to children and this is a problem we should be all working together instead of fighting each other on to take the steps that are necessary to keep porn from minors like we did so well back in the early days

Thing is technology and availability of information is not making it any easier and banning it is certainly not the way to go as by doing so you only make people want it even more.

Why do you never see some hot lady in her 20's taking an anti porn stance? I think the cause may have more to it if someone like Megan Fox raged about the ill effects of porn on men and soeciety.

Maybe subconsciously some women prefer it this way as it is much easier to manipulate men through their dicks than their hearts.

You can apply her theories to most things in life like violence on tv and in films, does watching it turn people violent a few maybe the majority no it dosnt, i have been dabbling in porn for years but would still rather watch an erotic film with a loving couple making love than anything extreme, but if you are selling porn then you have to cater for all taste providing its legal, its called business, and without business where would the money come from to educate people and give them a platform to air their views.

I imagine that there's a whole lot of sad and misogynistic people making/watching porn. It's kinda inevitable, given the sbject matter. To be perfectly honest, the harder/"extreme" porn (or whatever the prevailing term is) not only doesn't do anything for me, but it positively turns me right off. HOWEVER, I do generally buy into the "all is fine between informed, consenting adults" idea.

Laugh if you want, but I genuinely believe there is an argument that - among several possible examples - something as "normal" as buying non-fair trade chocolate (quite likely to have been harvested in/around the Ivory Coast via armies of child slaves) or sweatshop-laboured clothes from some household High St names is far more disgusting than watching consenting adults in your average porn film. Am I weird for thinking that? Have the pornogrophers got into my head and is that what they want me to think!?!?
