Jobbydealer
Do they still buy mags? I can't find any info about this on their website and they've blanked three emails from me. I don't want to dump what I have in the recycling, as I've already binned dozens and dozens of old mags, but they need to go and some of them are highly priced on that site, so I'd prefer to turn them into dosh!
Re: Jobbydealer
You won't get anything like the prices he sells them for, 10% maybe. That's quite a mark up, but he will at least pay you for them.
Re: Jobbydealer
I ask them a while back but got told they dont buy private collections

10% of ?35 is better than nothing, but it looks like nothing is precisely what I'll be getting.

I'm sure there is a site like E-Bay for buying/selling porn, can't remember the name of it but I'm sure someone will oblige.

Send me a list and I may oblige. Jobby is overstocked and I doubt you'll have any joy there.

As the net gradually replaces paper based porn, and as more mag titles disappear we might find that in 20 years or so, old porn mags in good condition might be worth a lot. I don't understand how the collecting business works but I think once paper based porn mags have all gone the old quality ones will become sort after.
If I were you I'd try and keep hold of the best of the oldest ones if you're allowed!

I'm sure you are right, people collect 19th century "erotica" don't they? The problem is in waiting for the stuff to become collectable!

That's right. And of course mags have to be basically put in a box in a 'dry cool place' and hardly ever touched for them to remain in good nick. I just like the idea that long after today's anti-porn campaigners are gone and forgotten, the very mags they tried to ban would still be sought after by eager collectors.

From what I can see, overstocking seems to be the norm,at present.
