Spiffing Lib Dem Con idea

So Michael Gove the Education Secretary announced a couple of weeks ago the cancelling of building projects e.g. renewals, stopping leaks, getting rid of portakabins etc in over 700 schools.

As we know Gove is very keen on his idea about "free schools". Schools which are state funded independent schools outside the control of the local authorities and run by local groups, charities etc. Gove wants a number of free schools to be open in about a year's time. Yeah I know the Lib Dems said before the election they wanted all schools to be under the control of the local authorities, but hey better to look at what was in their manifesto and then assume they will be supporting the opposite once in power.

So the latest spiffing idea is to leave the 700+ schools without any building improvement projects and instead throw money at converting empty shops for example into new "free" schools.

Amazing isnt it,i actually saw lib dems in the house of commons DEFENDING the abandonment of the school building programme. I hope they cease to exist after the next election the dirty opportunists.

Yeah, I remember how much I despised Thatcher, but looking at some of the policies coming out of the Lib Dem Con travesty like the NHS and education policies, I think this lot take the biscuit.

And as for Nick Clegg - quote from an interview with the Guardian "I am a revolutionary, but also a pragmatist."

Cease to exist? Yeah, because that would be brilliant for democracy wouldn't it? In fact, lets just have a one party state and be done with it. Maybe we can pay North Korea compensation and draft in someone with experience on such a system, like Kim Jong-Il....you know, like we do with football managers.

Were you saying 'I hope they cease to exist' about Labour when they took us into an illegal war? I mean, what's worse in your eyes?

If Lib Dems are Tories in all but name then you should be pleased as a Labour man. Tories and Labour alike dream of two-party politics. Very simple, everyone put into one of two boxes and we all know where we stand. Brilliant.

You're the one wishing for political parties to 'cease to be' because you don't agree with what they're doing. I find that a frightening way of thinking and completely at odds with the founding principles of democracy. And anyway, did you want Labour to 'cease to be' due to the illegal Iraq war? I'm interested to know.
