M&S clothes szes...
Not just any old clothes. These are M&S, keep-your-slob-of-an-obese-kid-kitted-out clothes.
Has it really come to 41-inch waists for kids?!?

We should really start coming down hard on parents. I'm not going to go as far as calling it abuse, but it's definitely irresponsible parenting.

Agreed. It's a sin that there are millions of people starving in the world yet here in the "developed" world the biggest problem facing us is obesity!!
