Kidnap and firearms just rack up the years and if they did murder someone during the process I'm sure they would have got life.
Sentence sounds about right. Hard for a good lawyer to get that sentence down
Still it looks modest they went down for a ?40 million robbery than one for ?40,000 at least.

Also the procedes have not been recovered, that means that other people are involved who have not been arrested or are not recorded on police intel.
Had the goods been recovered you would have seen a shorter sentence, perhaps the Judge's thinking is that these people will stay in jail until inflation has reduced their cut to peanuts, or that the people who are currently keeping the money safe for them will, after 10 years or so, deceide to keep it for themselves.
