I had written a lengthy reply here on John's behalf, since he's in the Seychelles and not in a position to defend himself. And then I deleted it.

At the end of the day, this is a matter for John, Karina and the guys at Walpole to sort, and strictly speaking, none of our business!

Indeed, I have also experienced the "text message" and e-mail phenomena and in my experience girls always communicate with you in this fashion when deep down they know they have done or are doing wrong, so they can't front you up. Also, they quite often come up with the most absurd and pathetic reasons to justify breaking their verbal contract like - "I just split up with my boyfriend Kevin and he's nicked all my CD's" Apart from anything else professionally minded girls of any calibre would not have boyfriends called Kevin who were prone to nicking CD's.

The particular matter in question my not be "our business" but some of us done have a proffesional interest in the issue. If you don't highlight it and instead sweep it under the carpet models may get the idea that there won't be any repercussions to their actions this kind of thing will just go on and on till some of us start to think, fuck it all, what's the point?

If it's none of our business why did John choose to tell us all about it on this forum. That surely doesn't make any sense, are you saying John was completely in the wrong posting on the forum in the first place ?.

bgafd owes karina an apology - we should have asterisked out the original reference to her in the post made by john mason. of course, once we failed to do that, karina was entitled to a right of reply.

we then erred in not telling forumites karina's post was unavailable for any follow up comments. as david spenser said in one of the posts to this thread which have now been removed: this is essentially a private matter between two people and the forum is not the place to sort out such matters.

obviously, model lateness/cancellations as an issue is a legitimate subject for discussion but only when set within the wider context of the industry as a whole. this is why dr no's post has been left up - he excepts karina from the general comments that he makes.
