At least you still have the coin unlike paying for goods then not either receiving item or item not as described e.g. damaged, poorer condition than implied, very old stock etc.

My rule with eBay for buying is don't bid what you can't afford to loose.
I've had a few duff deals, the last was a new laptop battery that probably was unused but 5 years old and only 50% life that will soon fall further, but overall quids in and got items no longer in any shop.

With selling unless buy it now or a reserve price always be prepared for a lower maximum bid than you would be happy with and never send unless paid for.

I have had negative feedback removed twice by eBay resolution centre staff.
I have always kept messages firm but polite and paste in the text from the other party that I consider unreasonable so quick & easy for eBay staff.

unlike you,I find it difficult to remain cool but firm.
Maybe I need anger management classes as I cant stand the stupid fuckers who piss me about.
