Are the British docile?

Post by David Johnson »

Without getting into the ins and outs of all the politics, what do we know so far about the UK?
1. The independent Institute for Fiscal Studies, writing about the emergency budget in June stated that if you take out the richest 10%, the less well off you are, the harder you get hit.
2. Enormous cuts are planned in a variety of departments in order that the government can pay off the entire deficit of over 100 billion in the lifetime of this parliament. This will inevitably hit welfare and public services in general.
3. THe banks who caused the crisis in the first place are completely unscathed. In fact they have done very well out of it. They got an ?800 billion bailout. The ?2billion tax levy introduced by this government is rather nicely balanced by cuts in corporation tax planned. Losses the banks made as a result of their casino gambling can be offset in future years financial returns.

What do we know about France?
1. The government announce that they plan to increase the retirement age from 60 to 62.
2. A nationwide response of rolling strikes organised by a resolute trade union movement and supported by college kids coming on to the streets results in the country being close to collapse in terms of transport.

My question is - are the British the most docile and stupid people in Europe?

Cheers

Absolutely.

"But how to make Liverpool economically prosperous? If only there was some way for Liverpudlians to profit from going on and on about the past in a whiny voice."

Yes. Look around you, a nation of bovine idiots. There seems to little left worth fighting for in this ship of fools. Why it is like this is the real question.

They're locking them up today, they're throwing away the key...I wonder who it be tomorrow, you or me?

The trojan horses of Islam are already in the UK and when you wake up it will be too late and the black flag will be flying over you.
Sorry but I'm in Europe floating around,
