O/T Porn on the BBC

Post by ADW »

Well, sort of.

But worrying though if the French of all people are coming up with ideas like this.

Interesting comments at the end there about the cultural disaster of cheapo videos -

"The quality of the films will decrease, there will be more and more cheap and dirty videos," hardcore pornographer John B Root has said.

"It's absolutely stupid because there will be as many consumers for porn movies as there are now, but the porn films will be cheaper - it will be a disaster for everybody and a cultural disaster."

Hmmm, could Euro producer John B Root have been gazing across the Atlantic or the Channel as he made those comments? I wonder.

But it also shows that the forces of repression are never defeated. Freedom loving peolpe should fight back, if not attack, at ever opprtunity. We should not be content just to defend our lines.

Officer Dibble.

this debate has been going on for some time in sweden, confounding yet another stereotype:

although, some, thankfully, are doing their best to perpetuate them - bless...

French want a porn ban? What. Well I never I very much doubt that the good old BBC, channel4 or even channel5 will ever show anything shame when you think that we can pick a visdeo from stores, internet, top shelf so why can't the adult population of this England bring us up to date?

Okay rant over.

There they go again, blaming the media for their kids' lack of a moral centre: if a kid of mine went and assaulted another child, I'd blame myself for being a poor parent, rather than seek to dump the responsibility on any convenient scapegoat I could find.
Sound familiar? Oh, yes, that's Noo Labour policy, innit?
This abrogatiom of personal responsibility has infected us from the US, and now seems to be spreading across Europe..........

Seems to me the only place on Earth where sensible legislation is in keeping with the views of the public is in Holland.

All the great debates like drugs & euthanasia seem to be in the too hard basket for most Nations but not Holland. Why?

It always amazes me how extreme Porn is used as a whipping boy for violent rapes.

If you take this to its logical conclusion all mainstream films which depict violent murders are far more harmful but as they are socially acceptable its OK....A grade hypocrisy.
