Me too. They underwrite for Nationwide who to date have been the cheapest and best for me for over 14 years now.
After having a Stent fitted GA wouldn't renew my holiday ins and recommended a specialist medical insurer in Brighton. They wanted ?139 for 14 days Europe only. Nationwide quoted ?36 for 15 days Europe, ?75 for 15 days worldwide. Guess who won.
That said, the moment they don't do the business is time to move the business.

Any broker, and I mean any broker, should be able to do that.
I am in the insurance industry so I understand what the twatts do.
No, I aint in brokerage or underwriting. I ensure that insured items are safe to use and not abused.

As they all work on different criteria a company good for one person can be bad for another.

Several years ago before the comparison sites when I allocated a couple of hours to phone around my best deal was Sainsbury's with Tesco significantly dearer but a couple of months later a colleague got a far better deal with Tesco.

Have you tried Chris Knott and Adrian Flux?

If you feel that badly about your scumbag neighbours, and I fully understand as I share your views, you can contact DVLA.
There is a phone line to report untaxed vehicles, and they do follow up if there is no road tax. I know, I have bubbled arseholes near me who don't bother with road tax, and their vehicles have been taken away.
For those who do not know the number is, 0800 032 5202
Give it a try, you might have the pleasure of watching the scum having their cars taken.

.... Chris Knott and Adrian Flux? who??? lol, ...

Two brokers the mainstream would prefer you not to know about.

They sort out good deals for young drivers, higher performance and modified cars, those with a situation that the mainstream will load a policy massively for etc.

Neither of help to me as my situation is straightforward including max NCD so I get a better deal via the comparison sites, currently with Esure.

However both sons of a work colleague ( one now 18, the other 22 I think but has a Focus ST) at work got the best deal through one of them.

Give both a call, nothing to loose even if you go elsewhere or can use their quotes to barter with.
