Shouldnt you take the issue up with them rather than posting it on a forum? If you can't be honest with close family members, who can you be honest with?

Having had experience of you world views on here this past 18 months I think it's you who actually doesn't get out much. Anyone the slightest bit different seems to offend you. I think you need to get out more....broaden your horizons - and you can have that advice for free.
