Yeah, I suspect this is an example of "all publicity is good publicity". Cheryl Cole has now had some concentrated exposure in the USA, has changed her manager to Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas (they are a US pop group, grandad....) and all things considered it's not a bad way to launch a crack at America (eg as opposed to touring radio statios for months, coast-to-coast, asking them to play your single and doing 100 of the same Q&As).
