did the tory party used to paint themselves as the party of law and order that would always protect the streets and make sure the people are safe? really? we are looking at the tory party in govt when events take a backward turn,totally incompetent and useless.

The police have been completely politicised by 13 years of New Labour political correctness. They simply don't know whether to mass book holidays for the rioters or help them to loot the shops! Isn't there a clause in the Human Right Act that says, "It is enshrined within this act that those that wish to redistribute the wealth of others to themselves should not be hindered by the forces of law and order. Any police officer that stands idly by whilst a looter injures his back whilst attempting to remove a large Lcd TV, will be liable to be disciplined and held liable for compensation."!wink!

To be honest both parties have been crap at law and order, in spite of the total shite they all talk. I noticed the police saying the rioters will face "Serious consequences" when they are caught.

Oh yeah, what's that then? ?25 fine? Community service? 2 weeks in prison playing ps3 with your mates?
