Re: You are scary Comrade Johnson!

Post by jimslip »

I suddenly realised that David Johnson's intolerance of other people's views and opinions is extremely worrying. Read his veiled threats to me in his posts like, "If I become Home Secretary, you will be the first to know."

I am sure I will Comrade!

The terrifying prospect is that David Johnson may represent the future and maybe present, New Labour activist. Can you imagine some time in the future, where New Labour has a massive landslide victory and they are tightening their grip on peoples thoughts and opinions, how easily David Johnson fits in to this nightmare world.

Does anyone doubt for a moment, that if David as an activist, were permitted, that he and his fellow activists would not for a second consider that it was reasonable to question and interrogate anyone who had NOT voted for New Labour in the election? After all this is what he does on here ALL THE TIME, questions and interrogates.

He interrogates and acts as inquisitor to all who dare have a different opinion to his. Can you not imagine him banging on the front door of a Tory voter and sitting accross the kitchen table, with a henchman standing close by, asking the voter to detail exactly why he voted Tory? Can you not imagine David quietly, but firmly suggesting to the Tory voter, why he may be "wrong?" Can you not imagine, David johnson, having the hapless voter, brought in for re-education?

I can easily imagine it. Look at the menace and aggression that he aims at me, for having the affront to, "Beg to differ" a concept that he simply cannot comprehend.

On the BGAFD, deny it it or not, scoff or not, DJ behaves like the Communist Party activists of Stalins Russia, Mao's Red China and Pol Pot's Cambodia. In these regimes, political dissent was not tolerated. Anyone who disagreed would be brought in for, what they used to call, "Re-education" and if this didn't work, they were simply tortured.

They too couldn't understand that some people chose to, "Beg to differ."

Like all fundamentalists, DJ is so convinced that his ideals and views are correct, that he must quiz, interrogate and, re-educate anyone who disagrees. Does anyone for a second not believe that if DJ could have the BGAFD admin remove all forummites who offered resistance to his views, that he would not do so in a second?

David Johnson is a fundamentalist fanatic. Totalitarian regimes throughout history have relied on thousands of such people to administer their brutality to those who had to live under them.

God help us if New Labour have a large number of fanatics like this lurking in the wings. When I was a Labour Party member, everyone was like the cast of Time Team, all quite gentle and affable, haranguing was left to the Tories. I fear that this may have all changed.

Once you get personal you've lost the argument

The real sad part is all parties are equally as bad when in power too long so anyone espousing their ideology as the ONLY path to nirvana for EVERYONE
has their head clearly up their ass.

The current saga feels very much like Wazza is back in town !wink!

It was the origin of this thread before it got derailed

Unless its turned into another circus for The Jim Slip and David Johnson Show. Cue laugh tracks and audience cheers then

Seems to be that passions always arise when the topic comes up about Africa.
