Wasn't Chris Morris in trouble a few years ago after apparently "trivialising paedophilia" in some late-night show? I remember it getting endless news coverage. I would have liked to have seen this Four Lions film but I watched 'Appropriate Adult', about the evil Fred and Rose West, on ITV1. This Four Lions film sounds a bit like The Infidel, which is a good movie. That was written by David Baddiel and stars that guy from the insurance adverts (you will remember the one with John Prescott and his Two Jags). I can't remember his name.

Definitely a classic film.
Finely balanced on the very edge of darker than dark humour. Perfect.

Kayvan Novak, who played Waj in Four Lions, is one to watch for the future. I've only seen him in Four Lions and Sirens, but he should go far.

I think, sometimes, you need to be able to laugh at terrorists, despots etc.

Did you watch it?

It's funny, plain and simple.

It wasn't a documentary about terrorism that I was laughing at. It was clearly a film mocking the team of idiot wannabe terrorists.

As Jonone said, Blackadder goes fourth was set in the trenches. Hardly the cheeriest of situations, but I bet you pissed yourself laughing, once or twice?

'ello 'ello was based around the resistance, many of whom were slaughtered by the nazis.
Personally, it wasn't something I rushed home to watch, but I was fairly sure it wasn't an indepth insight, into how the resistance worked.
