"However, cockups occur across the board, particularly in an envrionment in which as the ex-Tory Health Minister, Stephen Dorrell remarked, the Tory government is asking the NHS to make the sort of "efficiency savings" that no health service in the western world has ever had to make. "
Fuck me with a rusty spade, you never give up do you? Your'e Damien Mc Bride or Allister Campbell, I'm fucking sure of it.

I'm against management decisions in "life or death" utilities made on the basis of profit...and I just wanted to tell someone about what a bad time I'd had !sad!

Err, no.
Cockups occurred in the NHS when the Labour government were spending large sums of money on it. Cockups also occur when the current government is trying to get the NHS to make totally unprecedented savings.
In which of the above two scenarios do you think is more likely to cause problems?

"I'm crushed......Try reading the fucking BBC article, those are 'facts' I know you can be a bit slow sometimes, but Jeeez..."
I repeat. The subject of this thread is entitled Hinchingbrooke Hospital, Huntingdon. The content of this thread is about a company with zero expertise in running accident and emergency, maternity units etc. being brought in to do so.
This obviously has nothing to do with the criminal neglect at the NHS hospital in Staffordshire.
"FACTS: Where does it say that a private company can't operate a hospital better than the NHS, how do you know this, what proof do you have?"
Maybe you could address at least one of the points I have put to you?
"It is worth pointing out that Circle, the selected provider, have debts of over ?13 million themselves so they are hardly paragons of virtue."
Answer from Lizard about getting this company to sort out a hospital's debt? None.
"Like Circle that has zero experience of running accident and emergency and maternity services? Nothing like no experience of doing a job like running a general hospital, to enable you to do the job better. Eh?"
Answer from Lizard? None.
"Why is it that a company with zero experience of running an accident and emergency general hospital is prepared to run such a hospital to try and deal with a debt issue whilst not affecting services and staffing?"
Answer from Lizard? None.
"your patronising replies on this thread just go to show how incapable you are at understanding someone else's point of view."
I have absolutely no problem understanding your point of view. Your problem appears to be that I do not agree with you.

Agreed and I sympathise with your bad day and hope that your wife will soon get her operation. I know personally how stressful these delays can be.
All the best

We should all pay for our own private doctor, out of our own pockets.
It worked for Michael Jackson.
