The country are sick of the tories already

18 months in,even with the media and the press behind them. Remember they never won the election, and ifg it wasnt for the lib dems there would have been an election by now. In 2015 cosign the lib dems to the dustbin for good and say goodbye to the tories for 15 years, shame we have to wait three years before we can boot the cunts out.

Yep I agree... The UK is a public sector country led country and Labour after 13 years in power have transformed it into "what will the state give me" and the people want that back again... and it will in a few years time and with a landslide victory... this should give Labour at least 2 terms in power if not more..

It will be best to get a Labour government back in, get tax raised up to a higher level, increase benefits and importantly increase the amount of people who "work" in the public sector... more of everything for all.

I type this sitting at Term 5 Heathrow awaiting my flight back to Switzerland, looking forward to getting back to a country that seems more at peace with its self than the UK is at the moment... sad but true.

"The UK is a public sector country led country "

The UK is the sixth largest economy in the world. I do believe it is slightly larger than the Swiss economy.

"Labour after 13 years in power have transformed it into "what will the state give me"

Many benefits in Switzerland are much higher than in the UK.

For example, all employees in Switzerland must pay unemployment insurance. Half of this is paid by the employer and the other half by the employee. The unemployed person is usually entitled to 70 percent of the wage they have been receiving in the last 12 months. If they have one or more children and the allowance falls below a predetermined rate the amount due can go up to 80 percent.

"It will be best to get a Labour government back in, get tax raised up to a higher level",

It is worth pointing out that with a 32% marginal tax rate imposed on average income workers, the UK still qualifies as a relatively low-taxed nation. The tax take is lower than the likes of Belgium, Finland, Scandinavia, Germany, Italy, France, Netherlands etc etc.

"I type this sitting at Term 5 Heathrow awaiting my flight back to Switzerland, looking forward to getting back to a country that seems more at peace with its self than the UK is at the moment... "

Are there still a large number of supporters of the Nazis in Switzerland?

"sad but true."

Surely not sad. It is your favourite post by a long way, Switzerland wonderful, UK shite. Usually typed at an airport if I recall correctly.

Cheers

Of course you could go out and graft and have some sense of pride instead of lying on your back all day couping out second, third and fourth generation scroungers......unless you were from priveleged backgrounds, went to public school and then Oxbridge, which qualifies you as a Labour candidate these days. You may be tired of the Tories, millions of us were totally pissed off by McBroon and his US lapdog predecessor. Fancy a war with Iran then vote Labour my friends.....

So you were pissed off with "McBroon and his US lapdog predecessor!".

Well its 18 months into a Tory government and at least two budgets, long enough to have a big impact, so what do you think are the highlights, Arginald, of the Tory government?

A record high in youth unemployment - over a million? The highest female unemployment for 25 years? THe highest unemployment for 17 years? Virtually no growth in the economy for a year? Osborne missing his borrowing targets? Widespread summer rioting not seen on this scale since the Eighties? Euroland managing on average three times as much growth as the UK during the same period? How about the war in Libya?

No, Ive got it now, the Tory government commitment to continuing foreign aid expenditure?

So come on Arginald, let's hear what marvellous highlights the Tories have attained?

"Well its 18 months into a Tory government"

At the risk of being pedantic, may I be the first to point out we don't actually have a Tory Government. We have had one emergency budget, and one ordinary one, both prepared and agreed to by the Coalition, and thus it will be till the next G.E.. I can't predict the winner of that, but I can tell you it won't be the Lib Dems.

Not pedantic at all, but it is worth pointing out that the Lib Dems with their 50 odd seats compared to over 300 seats for the Tories are very, very, very much a junior partner.

Indeed the Lib Dems were so desperate to get into power for the first time ever in their history they were happy to welch on their policies on the economy (in line with Labour's approach - dont cut too fast and too deep), student fees (no increase to 9000/yr), defence, foreign policy, education etc etc.

So in short this is the most right wing government I can remember, dominated by Tory policies and in which the Lib Dems are reduced to looking pissed off in the House of COmmons when David Cameron is speaking.

wouldnt have thought so.It doesnt matter what the tories do the working class will never forget how labour fucked them over in their last term of office. The economic mess we are in now is entirely down to labours mishandling of the economy.the tories were left with a poisoned chalice trying to sort out the abortion labour left this country in.It was only announced today that there are over a million young people unemployed. That is a direct result of labour opening the floodgates and importing several million foreign workers in the hope they would vote for them and keep them in power.Asylum, pensions, education,NHS,illegal foreign wars etc labour were a fucking disaster for this country.they were a bunch of crooks who made hay while the sun shone and feathered their own nests.looks like we are stuck with the tories for the foreseeable future
