Cathy Barry on the Trishia show

Just seen Cathy Barry on the ITV2 Trishia show, Before you laugh at my TV
habits my girlfriend had it on and she dragged me off the PC so I could
watch her. She looked terrific and came across as a really nice, honest
girl. The audience laughed at her at times which was dissapointing but
no-one ripped into her apart from that ex-Army Corporal who got her tits out
once. She told Cathy that she is "going down the wrong road". If I had a
choice as who to take out for a ploughmans lunch, I would choose Cathy over
her anyday.

I didn't see it but a male friend was very impressed.

As for the laughing at her, it goes with the job i'm afraid, people laugh at what they dont understand & take the piss out of that which threatans their cosy lifestyle.

I get shouted at,laughed at, called names & followed by security in my home town just because I have a gothic/metal image & my partner gets even worse as his hair is loger than mine.

Mind you, I don't give a flying fuck really.

Good job Cathy, keep upseting the 'normal' people.

Cathy gave as good as she got! takes some guts to go on a programme like that, especially doing what Cathy does.

I think you got the wrong end of what meglos was saying...the audience were laughing with Cathy, not at her babe...she did a terrific job and everyone seemed to like her (even if they didnt understand the porn industry)

I set the timer to tape it because I was at work this morning.

I agree with Meglos. She came across as genuine and honest. She didnt get any stick from the audience like other porn stars have in the past. I think that because she came across as quite a shy, nice natured person and did not act big-headed the audience warmed to her quite quickly even though they normaly lay into porn people on that show. Hopefully this will educate a few viewers and make them realise that people who work in porn are often ordinary nice people and not the stereotype that shows like Trisha/Kilroy like to put across.

Interesting to find out a bit more about Cathy I thought anyway.

Perhaps Trisha could get a porn star on once a week. It would at least mean she got good viewing figures one day per week.

I take your point on hypocrasy though. Journos, Tv types etc love to look down on peoples sexual armadillos erm I mean pecadillos whilst concealing thier own huge cupboards full of skeletons.

Ah the Trisha show....a strange fact that the "audience" is often recruited via "The Walpole Group" a leading supplier of UK
