Didn't she end up hating the very thing that made her notorious ? Kinda like Bridget Bardot and look at the state of her now (lol).

Mitchell had a first rate relationship with hard drugs. Not sure about LL, although I think I'm right in thinking that she claimed violent compulsion & threat of death was her motivation to perform in porn, rather than drugs. Sharon Mitchel is now, I understand not doing hard drugs and runs a drugs/HIV advice & testing service to the industry.

Correct about Mitch running a HIV test and advice centre. She was respected as a performer and now in her new role. Linda wasnt into drugs on Mitch's scale but was 'forced' with death threats to begin with. Once she was famous, her motivation was stardom and money. She was invited to Hefners Playboy mansion where an Alsation Dog was on stand-by for a performance (Those crazy Yanks!) She fled. Once the roles dried up and she got older, she became a fierce critic of porn and was always advocating its total ban. I saw her interviewed after mass murderer Ted Bundy was executed in 1989. He claimed porn made him 'do it' and LL was very quick to echo porn is evil.
She was recently killed in a car crash and whilst her views on porn are not rants borne from resentment, they do make intresting discussion. I posted a thread on her ages ago about seeing a T-shirt when living in Hong Kong that said 'I choked Linda Lovelace' She will always be remembered for her role in Deep Throat and not on her views on porn which is a pity.

ive never seen deep throat it was on betamax years ago[pirate copy]but inever bought it cos there was an animal film on with it .
