Will Porn Soon Be Banned Throughout Europe

I think not any time soon but if this lesbian feminist M.P. is lucky at the
EEC, then it will open a crack in the door of sexual freedoms that will
inevitably widen.
The whole matter would not be so worrying if it were not for the fact that
Iceland is set this year - under its lesbian Prime Minister - to make ALL
porn illegal in that country. We can laugh and snigger "Who gives a shit
about Iceland", but it is a fact that the current Queen of Sweden supports
imprisonment for men who visit prostitutes and has cleaned up Stockholm
to such an extent that after dark it is now one of the dullest cities in the
world.
I constantly remind people on this site that history teaches us that in the
right circumstances a backlash against porn would be easy to create in
Britain.....or other parts of Europe.
The good news - at least when I checked the Daily Telegraph website last
night - was that even on that famously conservative paper, 80.2% of
people answering a poll supported our right to view porn and only 19%
wanted a ban. Considering that was Telegraph readers it speaks well of
commonsense in Britain.

What a lot of these lesbian women dont understand is that a lot of people get off on porn it is their sexual fix, and if they can't get it virtually online what other measures may they take to get their sexual pleasures, there are enough bad things happening allready a total ban on porn would only make things worse.

Sex was meant to be enjoyed so the species would re-populate it's what makes the world go around, the only flaw in nature was that it didn't give us an on/off switch so once we have made our 2.4 kids we can switch off, therefore people will always need their sexual fix.

A total ban on porn would only drive it underground meaning big profits for those willing to take the risk, anyway the web is worldwide so do they think other countries outside of Europe would also ban it...

A ban on porn ? Yep this is one of those things that they will struggle to do - people like porn and banning it will only serve to drive it underground - the trouble is when people get into power that have issues lesbian hatred of men and male sexuality - it can fan the flames and they carry through to what they was to achieve.

Porn cant be controlled its out there and guys will find it - ban it from the internet - so what about proxy servers and the like how would they ban it ? If anything they are talking about making it illegal to buy porn over the intertnet - this will just encourage a black market and file sharing

If this ban will mean you can't watch it online anymore then it will make the porn biz much bigger, sucessful, and lucrative than it presently is - because people will have to spend money buying physical copies of everything on DVD rather than watching free clips on their computer. The porn industry will become huge and the people running it will become seriously wealthy, so in that respect an internet ban on porn will be a good thing for the porn industry. Imagine how much of a positive it would be for the music industry if free things online were not available and instead hard copies of everything had to be bought. The business would be in the same position it was years ago - in other words making vast amounts of money rather than stuggling. However I do wonder if it could be banned online anyway, there are lots of things people can see on the internet that are illegal anyway - things being illegal does not stop some people viewing them.

Probably the same way the Chinese ban anything on the internet that they don't like.

That's easily stopped by refusing licences to shops to sell sexually explicit material. A number of towns have lobbied to stop McDonald's opening in their high street and won. Can't really see many local councils allowing sex shops on the high street.

For as long as there is a need then there will be away to satisfy that urge - people will find away to access porn either electronically or through other means.

What porn is being banned ? Or will we see the return of censored porn like the japanese ? Oh and china barring porn - yes it can in some ways but not all of it is filterable - encrypted business lines you can proxy through and get it like any site you can access here - you just have to know how to do it and have the right access - much like the middle east barred but still you can access through firewalls and such if you know the way - good mate works out of china 4 months of the year and he has been able to access when he wants.

its a vote maker just now - porn is a minority and although popular its not so mainstream as to attract support - people may like it privately but hate to be associated with it in the public domain.
