Re: Missing Maddie
I think we have to tread carefully with this story. Its certainly not beyond the bounds of impossibility that the child was abducted, and Snowy I suspect that
during their hours and hours of police questioning, in Portugal and the UK, as
the coppers tried to "break" the McCanns alibis, I have no doubt they were
lectured at length about the stupidity of leaving her in the apartment ! Assuming they are innocent they must have suffered the torments of the damned weighed down by guilty feelings for being so stupid.....but then again,
all of us do stupid things from time to time and have to live with our mistakes.... I am astonished the police still think they can do more with this case but good luck to them. Personally - and sadly - I suspect she has long been dead.....but then again, recent cases in the USA and Germany show us
that people are still found alive after many years.....
Re: Missing Maddie
I still cant understand why they were not charged - is it not against the law in Portugal to leave kids of that age unattended ?
You know that what ever happened to this little girl would have been hell one way or another. Of an age to know and be aware that all was not well around her and if she had then been abused. sickening. And the main suspects have not been charged or dealt with - they have been through enough torment ? Really what about Maddie, she is the focus and the one that has been failed.
It really does not excuse the parents and there is a case there to be answered. One that should result in both parents being charged with willful neglect. They put them in their beds and left the buidling to saunter down the road for a nice wee cosy meal with some friends.
For fuck sake man. There you go the two main suspects in the case for the disapperance of Maddie.
If they had remained in the house then they would not have been implicated - if they had behaved as they should of done then this would n ot have happened. The someone was in the room - if they were there it may still have happened, if they were there it may not have happened. The responsibility of this is square at the feet of the parents.
Dont let them kid you. It may be dressed up and regurgitated what ever but the sad fact is you have two individuals that did not carry out their parental reponsibilities. charging them would be a start and a step in the right direction.

I know exactly where you're coming from, william.
It's just incredible how parents can simply neglect their parental responsibilities just like that.
Absolutely extraordinary.
The way the pair of them have used the media - particularly the father - has been extraordinary.
I've spoken at length to my wife about this story and the one thing she, as a mum, cannot understand is when the mother discovered her daughter was missing she didn't scream from the rooftops to warn other people.
Incidentally, this was one of the scores of questions Kate McCann refused to answer when quizzed.
JHC, if it was one of my kids that had been abducted you'd still be hearing the scream and shout in your ears years later!

To William & Snowy
I sympathise with your feelings on this one, guys. Like you, I am a parent,
too. The McCanns are clearly negligent. They acted - in hindsight - stupidly,
even selfishly. But all I can say on reading your latest comments is if you
want to throw the book and the Law at Maddie`s parents God alone knows
what you would do to the perpetrator. Assuming, that is, that the parents
did not do her in (which is not impossible, but very unlikely). In my book all
people deserve to be treated as innocent until PROVEN guilty. Up to that
point, for all their silliness, the McCanns have done as much as any parents
can to keep their missing daughter in the media spotlight. Assuming they
are innocent, I suggest you are a little less spiteful towards them and save
your bile for the bastard who stole the child.

Who has deemed the McCann's innocent? The Sun newspaper?
Re: To William & Snowy
spiteful ?
The mcanns left their charges alone - yes by all means the person that kidnapped maddie is indeed wrong and hopefully will be caught - thing is though these parents did wrong and indeed they should have been processed the same way as any person is who neglects a child or allows harm to come thier way.

Re: To William & Snowy
Weren't they accused of killing their own child by Portuguese police?
The fact that their child has been missing for years likely presumed dead is punishment enough. Don't you think?

The harder you cum. The more you enjoy it.
Long weekends...
Chatting with some colleagues in London recently and they were amazed at the amount of "Thursday" flights taken by the Met police down to Portugal... long weekend springs to mind...
and how do they know that...?
Cabin crew are very good at learning about their passengers... and over hearing snippets of conversations...
Late Sunday flights back.... tremendous... nice tan Sir!
