"Today" on Radio 4 from 6 to 9am is one of the best news programmes broadcasting either on TV or radio. Occasionally it has guest commissioning editors who select the topics, presenters etc. for a day. Today's guest editor was PJ Harvey, the innovative, brilliant singer/songwriter.
So if you want to hear an alternative to the drip, drip, drip of successive governments' lies and distortions propagated by a largely compliant TV and print media, this programme is well worth a listen.

Not that much into most of her stuff but very talented. Like her style of half-talking half-singing. A softer Patti Smith.

Her music is a bit hit and miss but she is experimental and not a clone so always worth a listen.
