I just tell them Jesus never existed and I am a Harry Potter fan. That usually does the trick!
Re: Irritated by street-corner god-botherers?
Couldn't be bothered to watch the whole vid as frankly I found the "hero" of the piece a rather arrogant and aggressive piece of work.
Strikes me that there appeared to be no difference between them as they both seemed obsessed that their view was the only way.
The hero seems to want to have his own cult based around himself exhibited by his need for YouTube and being filmed whereas the preacher was "concerned" for others.

I'm all for a bit of preacher-bashing but that guy did come across a bit aggressive. But I suppose we're so used to the religious threatening us with damnation and eternal torture that we've become accustomed to it and see it as almost acceptable and NOT used to atheists actually biting back once in a while.

Has he challenged a Muslim or Jew in that way. Or Jedi, Hindu....
Would he try that on the streets of Damman or Jeddah or Tel Aviv
Seems a bit of an aggressive bloke.

He's aggressive but hardly his fault that people of other faiths, or other countries, are less tolerant than your average western Christian.

Re: AV
Where does Dawkins 'admit Jesus existed'?
He might have said it was 'probable' or 'likely'......or, more likely, 'irrelevant' given if he did exist he wouldn't be the son of a universal creator, couldn't die and come back to life, couldn't walk on water or cure the blind......etc etc. But that's not the same, is it?
So, again.....where does Dawkins 'admit' Jesus existed? Dawkins is a scientist and very much doubt he'd admit something like that unless he'd seen real, conclusive evidence first.

Re: AV
There is real, conclusive historical evidence that Jesus existed. No serious historian denies that He existed. What many/some, including Dawkins, deny is that He was the Son of God.
As you say, two different matters but that Jesus existed and was put to death by the Romans is not disputed by any serious historian.
