OT satellite channels

Post by euancam »

I was reading one of the earlier posts about hardcore satellite channels. Does anyone else have more info on these? Can you receive them through an ordinary Sky dish? Has anyone subscribed to the channels.

I think we are talking a larger dish here...and certainly NOT Sky! Heaven forbid..
Which reminds me of the true story-a friend purchase an all time large motorised dish which he had placed high up at the side of his semi-detached house.
But the moral of this story is-keep the joints well oiled, because rust sets in..and trawling the night skies for porn might wake up the neighbours at midnight listening to the squeak of the dish searching for its satellite position for another thrill.Yes,right down the road it could he heard.
"It's Mr.A at it again".
He moved in the end-could'nt take his dish with him-because it was a conservation area banned to large dishes.

You will need an 80cm dish or bigger, depending on your uk location. It does not have to be motorised, but will need to be pointing at anoother satellite, other than Sky, namely, those at 19 & 13 degrees East. You cannot receive anything hardcore using your Sky dish or box, as the foreign satellites broadcast in a different scrambling system to Sky. You may have problems setting up an extra dish, as planning permission may be required, although many councils don't bother if you have a little minidish & an 80cm one, but you would be advised to check before spending your cash. What you should do is buy "What Satellite" magazine & check out your nearest independent satellite dealer, who will be more than happy to help you out with your questions about systems, costs, installation etc. As for subscribing, they all show hardcore, some in a foreign language, others with an optional English soundtrack(I think) & as with all satellite channels, repeats are numerous! On this board, Magoo may be able to answer your questions better than I cos it's his thing, whereas I am just a former subscriber!(A tree grew in the way of 19 degrees East & the neighbours won't let me practice my tree surgery skills on it!
