Can we believe the tabloids these days? They all seem to have negative news and it would nice to be startled by something a bit more warming. I was reading the News of the World this morning and was not too shocked to see Page 3 (if I can use that trademark!) girls doing prostitution. [edited by moderator]
Whilst it is disappointing, it was not shocking. I also feel there are several factors to this type of story.
1. it?s always interesting to hear this type of news, because we are naturally nosy, but is it really necessary to these girls in such a manner? I am sure that they don?t do it because they find it better than modelling!
2. If they are doing prostitution, why didn?t they do hardcore? I would have thought that they would have gone down that route to stay in the business. Maybe I am just looking at the situation wrong.
3. There are many different reasons why any woman gets into prostitution, but I have never been rich enough to lavish the lifestyle modelling can bring, or been in a position where I would do anything to maintain a lifestyle like that! I have been in a position where I have lost everything and had to start again, but never even considered doing anything to maintain the lifestyle I had before!
4. Whilst it?s not my position to judge, I am curious as to why some models are drawn to that way of life and not calling it a day and look back at the life they had when it was good. I would also be a hypocrite too, because if I had the money, I would love to spend an, or two with any of them!
5. Have we learned anything about the girls to find out what makes them tick? Not really, just what they are doing now as a sideline to modelling. We still don?t know why and if that?s really what they want to be doing! I only hope that if it?s not then they will find a way out.

Re: I don't understand! O/T....I think
Good luck to them, i believe they have the best of both worlds. You say in No2, if they are doing prostitution why didn't they do hardcore. Well the way i see it in my own personal opinion, why get paid something like ?350 for making a hardcore video. which would take about 2-3 hours of filming being poked, prodded and abused by two or three studs. Probably having to do anal sex and have spunk shot all over them. Having the cameraman and one or two others standing around watching and telling them what to do. Then having their exploits sold around the world so every man and his dog who can just about scrape together thirty or forty quid to watch them at it and know what they get can do. also they have reputations to think of if they wish to go back doing modelling. And how many times a week would they have to do this to make a good living four/five? When they could have a quiet hour or two in some hotel room with some old wealthy guy who would have to wear a condom get paid ?500- ?1000 minus commision for the agency plus expenses for a few minutes of groping and pumping. And if they were lucky get an all nighter and get several thousand pounds and think of the cash tax free, the rest of the time talking and being taken out for meals and only few people knowing about it.

You actually beleive what you read in the News of the World? You actually READ the News of the World?
Re: I don't understand! O/T....I think
No, you can?t believe the tabloids these days, past days or on any forseeable future day. However there are usually (but not always) elements of truth in their shitty stories and being an adult video insider some of today?s ?expos?s? don?t surprise me in the slightest. But one must beware when reading the tabloids (and to a lesser extent the ?serious? papers) one has to read between the lines. Though there are usually some elements of truth in their stories those elements are quite frequently taken wildly out of context and spun (in which direction is down to where the proprietor of the newspaper believes his commercial and political interests lay) to give the reader a totally different view of the events in question.
The tabloids always feature negative news because they know the British public are a mean minded, mean spirited lot that hates to see anyone else having more money, more fun, more adulation than they are having in their own dreary little lives. They know the British public love to put the boot in if it isn?t going to affect them or their wallet. Papers like the News of The World, Current Bun and Daily Mail have perfected this to a fine art. This is not to do Brits down; it is simply a consequence of past repressions combined with trashy, moronic, tabloid culture. It could have happened to the French or Italians had things panned out the same there. I guess at he end of the day you can?t blame the papers for their style and content, in a liberal (sort of) democracy they just publish the kind of tripe that seems to sell to us, the punters.
Also, Darren, you seem to be insinuating that there?s something negative about being a hooker, that it?s not a valid occupation ? if so, what?s wrong with it?
The reasons that some models will work as call girls and not do hardcore on video is pretty much as dimjick suggested, which in turn is a consequence of our hypocritical, finger wagging, bullshit, tabloid culture.

Hi,
I too was shocked to read the news in NOTW and can assure people that there is truth in it, for I have used the services of the Blonde one with the biggest picture before.
I must say that Professionalism and Discretion are their utmost and i was impressed with the service....ok so it wasn't love/sex but i was so happy with making love to my ultimate dream babe.

Re: I don't understand! O/T....I think
My prediction, based on previous such stories in the Sunday tabloids, is that tomorrow's Daily Sport will carry interviews with the girls in question stating they definitely aren't prostitutes and were appalled at the outrageous claims...whilst failing to provide an explanation of why the girls offered the reporter sex for money and why none of them are suing NotW.
Having said that, personally I don't mind who does what and I think the NotW has some nerve pretending that having sex for money is so wrong when it regularly encourages girls to do exactly that by paying loads of dosh for 'kiss and tell' stories. Jim Davidson is on record as saying that a well-known BGAFD favourite wanted to bed him so she would get money for telling all to the papers. Surely that's just prostitution under a different name - and that makes David Yelland and his fellow editors pimps.

Re: I don't understand! O/T....I think
All valid points, but it seems as though we the public judge what we read no matter what the truth it!
I don't think that there is anything wrong with prostitution, just the reasons for doing it! I think that it should be legalised and it would be better for our tax, the health service for the girls would be better and they wouldn't have to hiding down alleys, or wherever to escape the law.
Having said all that, the news does sell its view to the public and the masses soak it all up!
I would like to think I am above all that, but I would be lying if I didn't say that I was opinionated about the stuff I read!

I was going to give a much more detailed reply but then remembered section 2.3.3 of the FAQ.
All I will say is that the NOTW article was quite accurate in a general sense. Of course I don't know about what was said by each individual lady to the reporter obviously.
