Anything new to report from the European DVD scene regarding 70's-80's films? I've heard that the Danish Bedside collection is out in Denmark with some interesting extras, including Bedside Sailors/S?m?nd p? sengekanten, this far unavailable on DVD. Can anyone confirm if this is uncut?
Also, there was some talk of Color Climax on DVD. Any further news there?
Any other news (with links if possible) on films from Germany, Scandinavia, France, Italiy etc are more than welcome.

I certainly hope that some distributor will start re-releasing some quality European stuff soon. The new products are dreadful!

Alpha France has recently released in the series "Les grands succ?s du cin?ma X fran?ais" three movies which they advertise as "3 films culte de Burd Tranbaree". Don't let you be fooled by that. These movies are american, namely "A Scent of Heather" (aka "Les soir?es d'une ?pouse pervertie"), starring Veronica Hart, "Easy" (aka "La prof' d'anglais"), with Jessie St James, and "Tangerine" (aka "Adolescentes ? louer") with Juliet Anderson. To make them look french, the editor added still views with inscriptions in french (such as road signs, street-plates etc.). All the credits have been deleted, including the names of the directors : Philip Drexler, Anthony Spinelli and Gary Graver (Rob McCallum). That doesn't mean that these movies are bad, but how to qualify such a proceeding ?

In the same vein, I have had a few problems with some DBM releases. It had been difficult to get some of their 1999-2000 releases, so when I saw several of their compilation titles, I thought I could at least get a few scenes of some movies.
Well, here is the problem: all scenes of the compilations (Sonderausgabe, Clip Tipp, Super Serie, Extra Stark, plus several other particular compilations retitled to make them look like movies) are edited, so that the beginning and the end of the scenes are cut. And the same goes for their 8 or 10 hours boxes: they are supposed to contain four individual movies, but each scene of the four DVDs have been edited !furious!
If they wanted to bring people to buy the full length movies, that time-consuming editing would have been understandable. But the full length versions are out of stock and have not been rereleased elsewhere, except a few in Italy.
So, I'm joining the discussion: why does DBM release edited compilations instead of the full length movies?

They are also much shorter than the originals, judging by the times given on the boxcover..
