O/T Rolling Images
Re: O/T Rolling Images
If they confiscated it they would be breaking their own rules. It's just that it will add to the delay.
Re: O/T Customs Delays
Its interesting that each port/airport has different speeds at getting stuff inspected and sent on.
Heathrow seem very fast. Dover as Alec points out can be slow (due probably to the vast number of porn and horror(many still on the DPPs "video nasty" list) DVDs coming in via surface mail from Holland. Hull are also slow as they deal with packages from Scandinavia. Most US vids seem to come via Heathrow (or Southhampton if sent surface mail). I think East Midlands Airport takes anything sent via UPS from the States.
It might be interesting if we tried to build up a list of which ports/airports deal with packages from which countries and how fast/thorough they are. Sorry thats my anorak tendencies coming to the surface again.

Re: O/T Rolling Images
No, I don't work for them (if only . . . !), but my experience has taught me that if a supplier says "allow 28 days" you have to wait AT LEAST 28 days before anything is likely to happen.
Re: O/T Rolling Images
It probably depends on how many of'em want to take it home to watch before sending it on.
Re: O/T Rolling Images
Fair enough, but my experience suggests that (for UK/Euro suppliers, at least) if they haven't appeared after two weeks, they ain't coming- I then wait the extra week or two prescribed as per supplier, and then climb all over them.
But then I'm a stroppy bugger, as you know...........it really shouldn't be that hard to fill orders within days rather than months. Anything else is unprofessional.

Re: O/T Rolling Images
Whatever their reason the customer service is a little below par
Even if the vid was a sell out you would still expect to get notified.I'd take JJ's course of action...keep emailing everyday after the 28days is up....the more noise you make the more likely someone will tell you whats going on....
Bare in mind if you purchased it on credit card and you don't receive the goods you have a very good case for a refund from your Bank.
Mine....A.N.Z allow 60 days and if you don't receive the goods you get an instant refund from them....they then charge the credit back to the merchants bank
cheers
