This movie seems to be already listed here as The Wager.
I say seem because I have not seen these movies. I base myself mainly on the screencaps posted by jj.

Thanks, bunker. It didn't occur to me to search for cross-references
to duplicate titles because with SF's fairly long 'history' in the database
I rather assumed it had already been done, fruitlessly : -)

Just looked at 'Wager's page again, and the plot summary is a
perfect description of 'Scommessa fatale'.

And, as any fule kno, 'scommessa' is Italian for.... 'bet'.
