Your not the only one Liz. I too am still living in the dark ages but hope to get sorted out with broadband soon. I know it speeds up downloads but does it actually make any difference to surfing speeds ie time it takes to move from one page to another?

yes. i had a go on my mates broadband and you can really whizz around from page to page and site to site. i`m waiting to have it installed as we speak. once you`ve been on it, you realise how slow dial up is.

Pages tend to appear virtually instantly, with pictures already in place.

I think NTL have quite a nice demo of the kind of efffects you can expect.
