I have a particular fondness for several movies in my collection
featuring all-Canadian casts- but Canadian girls do seem to be
thin on the ground [apart from the partial-migrants you mention]-
or at least their available material is.
I can recommend 'Canadian Beaver', and anything with Ocean,
[no, not that one] Pamela, Leanna Bacci and espcially Kimberley
Franklin.
Oh, and Lanny, of course.

I had written all this and before posting I checked the thread and saw Lens801's answer. Since it is written, I'll post it just to add more infos, at least my point of view.

What you say is right, I will just specify a few things.
There are some French speaking communauties outside Quebec. A fair part of New-Brunswick and very small part of North Ontario and Manitoba.
!teacher! So French Canada may be used for 2 reasons :
First (the official meaning) : to talk about all the French speaking people of Canada wherever they live. You could replace French Canada by French Canadian and it would be the same thing. It does not refer to any specific locality (allthough we know that over 90 % are in Quebec). It is cultural and not much political.
Second (the unofficial meaning) : because it has this non-locality meaning, it can be used as some kind od denial of that locality identification. Some very strong federalists (or very strong anti-separatists), will use French Canada when talking about Quebec as some kind of political statement to remind the people of Quebec that they are first Canadian then Qu?b?cois. But most French speaking persons from Quebec, separatists included, don't get that meaning. They see themselves as French (speaking) Canadians, what they actually are, until they separate if the ever do so one of these days.
In international forums I prefer to use French Canada because first, you'd be surprised how many people don't know what Quebec refers to.
And mainly because those who give a political meaning to the expression French Canada will, for the same reason, see the word Quebec as a political statement. Since the vast majority of French speaking people of Quebec do not care about that, it is a way to try to avoid that Quebec/Canada politics suddenly hijacked a discussion that has nothing to do with that.

If by thin on the ground you mean not much personnality I will agree with you. I would think that it is because they mainly do gonzo and gonzo rarely gives the opportunity to a girl to show anyting else than her back. But I hate so much gonzo that I don't haver much credibility on this.
A cute one is the girl called Jade that did about 4 movies for Alkrys, a real cutie. Vintage now, there was Brigitte Aime.

===============================================
No problem with Jade, but Brigitte Aime was flat as a board (before her boob job), and sorry to say pretty ugly... The only thing that helped her was the fact she would frequently do anals/DP which was not that common at the time. But while we are on the subject, was there not a French-Canadian actress (or so I assumed her to be) (nice looking, cone-shaped breasts, brunette, slightly curly hair) who was working in France in the 1990's who used to deep throat as well (I forget her name now)...

Well, thank you for your explanations.
As for Jade, I saw A nous les petites Qu?b?coises (not Canadiennes fran?aises !wink!) but can't recall if she was this one or not.
One of the most popular Qu?b?cois porn stars was Christine Young. She started with Yvon's Training and was bit of an Internet phenomenon when she first launched her own website. I guess she lost much popularity when she started doing mostly lesbian stuff. She also did a number of videos in LA. I'm not into gonzo but I remember seeing her video with a presumably amateur guy named Raoul. She looked quite eager and attractive.

Yes Christine Young was extremely popular early on, she was young cute and did b/g, then went downhill.
If you are into older, trashier and more extreme French-Canadian ladies, see Abbraxa who was featured in Evil Angel's "BUTTMAN & ROCCO GO TO MONTREAL (2000,Evil Angel) (that's were Judy Star got started).
Abbraxa runs an internet site (shown in the movie) for which she films g/s, fisting, and extreme acts.

Sorry, my stupid mistake. She is called Angie in the video.

More pics of her.
i don't know much about her filmo.
Agreed for Christine. Girls loose their popularity when they start doing only lesbos sets. Maybe she tought that the popularity of her website was enough but she was really great at her debut.

Re: A general comment re Private
They seemed OK personality-wise to me; inasmuch as you
can get an idea from a fuck-film....it's not as if I took them
out to dinner and discussed philosophy and the price of
bauxite futures
By 'thin on the ground' I meant that there don't seem to
be many individuals [and only Doghouse Digital sems all that
much interested in them]. In terms of relative population-size,
not as badly-off as Australia, whose girls you can number on
the fingers of one hand, and which has hardly any domestic
industry.

Re: A general comment re Private
'Hardcore Training 1' features both CY and Jade [and another
realtively well-known Canadian, Caprice], and also Katrina B,
who is apparently Russian-born but for some reason [domicile?]
often appeared in otherwise all-Canadian vids.
I recently mused in one of my Private posts that there seemed
to be too much les porn/les-only girls for the market to support.
But then, economics is a closed book to me.... and now I come
to think of it, also to most of the world's leaders : -))

Re: A general comment re Private
I know the original post JJ opened dealt with Private movies dubbing, but I was just checking out the In-X-Cess American release of GAMBLERS (LA BISCA) (2000,Pink'o) and noticed a very curious thing.
I would assume the english-dialogue dub was most likely made by Pink'o itself. You can hear (faintly in the background) the Italian language track and over that is the lame English-dialogue dub. It is confusing and annoying (the two are not even remotely in sync), unless Pink'o was trying to be "cute" and trying to emulate some of the old Private dubs.
