A question especially for jj

Post by Bad Samaritan »

Dear jj, no offence but you have been submitting films from American labels (Evil Angel, H2) and they are duly accepted. That's why I'd like to have your opinion on this issue:

A French girl of partial Asian (supposedly Japanese) ancestry shooting porn in Japan. Does this girl and her titles merit inclusion? Please keep in mind that Japanese titles with other European actresses are listed, however they don't work exclusively in Japan.

Thanks in advance.

Any porn movie that is not produced in Europe and intended for Euro market, usually is not include in EGAFD database. H2 videos are usually of Euro origin (with Euro talent and direction) marketed in the US by Hustler etc, and some Evil Angel movies (ex: some Rocco titles) are really of Euro origin, but market in the US by Evil Angel.
That's my 2 cents.

What do you mean by "usually"? Japanese titles have been included for years and nobody can claim that they primarily target European or any non-Japanese market.

I say "usually", because some odd examples have cropped up from time to time in the database.
What Japanase titles are you referring to that are in EGAFD?

Thankfully, it's not my decision.
I put them up if I deem them "includable":- but the mods make the
final cut.

I have orated previously about the criteria for inclusion here.

@ jj:

Thanks for your opinion.

@ Len801:

Japanese productions featuring European actresses have been routinely listed (since the inclusion of The Raped Sisters) for documentation purposes. Maybe you just didn't notice this.

I did not notice such inclusion. That's why I asked. Thanks for pointing it out.

These Japanese features with exclusively Euro girls I imagine are perhaps
the most difficult of all for Alec to judge.

Ongoing solution is to include them.

First it started with minor labels, even the names of which I can't remember, shooting semi-amateur stuff in Russia. Then, Wild Life surfaced as a label producing porn exclusively with European girls in early 2000s, followed by many other Japanese labels through the 2000s. Now, we have a French girl working in Japan. I assume that such a 'globalisation' trend could not be foreseen even in 2000.
