Puaka, against whom I've just issued a fatwa [see sc. 4's usual
'jj-special' rant]. The label and menu have "Barrymore's", the
opening titles "Berrymore's". Holly Fander [non-sex] abets Dru's
staged 'street chat-up' lines. No cast, as normal for Puakas.
1) Michelle [8]- DP. Lovely girl;
2) Ursula Fodor- b/g;
3) Katerina Atos- b/g, and Niky [whose current first gallery-pic
is of Nicky Stone, BTW]- bald b/g;
4) Carole- b/g, and Dru- anal.
The flick brutally cuts out at just over 76 min.- in the name of
all that's sacred, WHY do these morons do this shit, for no
fathomable reason ??? Is it solely to annoy the Bejasus out of me?
Or do they have a secret agenda to shatter the sanity of their
customers worldwide, thereby enabling these evil geniuses to take
over and confine us all for eternity to slavery in the rice-pudding
mines?
It make Mongo SOOOO MAAAAAD.........

Re: Drew Barrymores Casting
After watching porno for quite a number of years, I can say that American producers/distributors have made a reasonable effort in placing performers names on actual film/video as well as video box covers.
Unfortunately I can't say the same for european distributors, and the Germans are probably the worst offenders. They do not seem to care one iota whether the names they sometimes and rarely slap on box covers are corect and if they put any in the film proper. You are lucky if you actually find the movie title in the movie.
The funny thing is that when you read the box cover, over 30% is taken up with indications about the production company, their P.O. Box number, whether there are menus in DVD and other nonsense. I don't think they make/distribute movies for the regular connaisseur. They just want you to buy that particular disc, and don't care whether some fans may be interested in getting other movies where such an actress has appeared in. By and large you have no clue as to year of release, director name, and cast. They are worst than car dealers. You buy THAT car, and that's all they care about, and not whether you may be interested in buying another in 5-7 years' time or not from them.
But as with everything and even in porno, vote with your pocket. You don't like something? Don't buy it.
It's like listening to Vivid Video movie consumers. They all complain (as I do) about the crappy quality, vanilla content, barbie plastic girls, condom use, but they keep on buying/renting them, hoping that ONE day they will pick up something they may like. In the meantime they have wasted time and money on a lot of content they don't like. If you get disappointed once or twice on a product, drop it and movie on to something else. These people don't deserve your money. You are doing their dirty work by doing cartwheels trying to ID THEIR performers, when they are too f*****lazy to do it.

Re: Drew Barrymores Casting
Good points- but I was actually banging on about producers who
cut movies when there seems absolutely no need to do so.
Death is too good for them- maybe something involving nasty
pointy spikes, and giant flesh-eating bumblebees......
I never watch Vivid stuff, BTW- my stomach is too weak for
all that saccharine, and as I'm sure you know, I have a terrible
latex-allergy : -))

Re: Drew Barrymores Casting
JJ, I have rexcently commented about a porn movie called IL NONNO. There is no exreme content in the movie that would it make it censurable and it does not go over the 2 hour mark. Essentially there is really nothing to edit. However, the German version has one scene (with Atomix) that the French version does not have and the German version lacks a couple of minutes (non-sex content) at the end when Jessica Fiorentino bids farewell to her grandpa. Since this was a plot-driven movie, you would want to know how it all ends? I have no clue what the original Italian version contained. No one has commented.
But American movies have been cut on occasion. Some old titles contains some "non-consual sex", golden-showers, fisting, which have all been deleted. Often the VHS older version differ from the recent DVD releases.
Mainstream cinema is an equal offender. There are several versions of the Charles Bronson western CHATOS'S LAND (1972). The British, French and American are slightly different, and it is said the German one (where you can it I have no clue) is said to be the complete version. That's just one example. A few years back I bought the Sergio Leone north-american DVD THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY, and guess what, it was NOT the complete euro version. A little while later MGM came out with the complete remastered euro edit. I checked out an Italian DVD version later and guess what again, it was the italian-dubbed american cut version. The video boxes tell you nothing, and you have to spend money and read like crazy to be a step ahead (often you are two steps and several bucks behind).
I think there must be about 4 different versions of the horror classic HALLOWEEN. I have lost track, which is the definitive version.

Re: Drew Barrymores Casting
I too fail to see the logic [if any] of such cuts. I supose sensitivities
differ, but even so.....
In my instance though, 'cut' was perhaps the wrong word,
implying some sort of volitional censorship. Perhaps 'inexplicable
truncation' better expresses what I was getting at- the apparently
wilful shortening of a DVD-transferred film for no reason, often
right in the middle of a scene. I refuse to believe that the original
tape [unless it was something like five hours long] wouldn't fit on
to a DVD, so what on Earth could the rationale be?

Re: Drew Barrymores Casting
Go ask Vivid when a few years back they began transferring some of their titles to DVD. Even though the original movie was less than 2 hours and easily fit on a DVD disc, they removed or shortened a scene so that they could insert some "trailers" and what not in the disc (when all people wanted was the actual movie which was out of print, and not freaking trailers)!
And they did all that without telling consumers. They lost a lot of fans that way who never came back. What were they thinking?
