Ok iinteresting and fair points Alec. Perhaps I overeacted to what I percieved as uneccessary rudeness on Woodgnomes part. I appreciate that it is difficult to know in which way to handle a poster who is unintentially annoying. My main worry was that certain posters would take WGs post to Mr Doran as a green light to attack him and the whole thing would turn into a bullying campaign.

As regards cheap cracks I thought yours about me losing my rag on the forum was very mild compared to Woodgnome calling me educationaly challenged! And yes Woodgnome I know I was being patronising to Mr Doran but it was unavoidable to phrase it another way. I understand the points made by you also and if you just lost your temper then thats understandable but I (perhaps wrongly) thought you were just being rude for the sake of it. I agree that Buttsie made a good point about "post not person". May your sleeping bag be free from defects for ever more......Well at least until the next time we argue when I shall wish for all manner of sleeping bag related misfortune to keep you from a good nights rest.
