I'm still searching films that act in or about bordellos. Those films I know, are all
platitudinous, fanciless, and without any interesting story.

May be somebody knows something better?

In Euro or American movies? (I think there are plenty of movies dealing with brothels both in Euro and American movies, as there are in mainstream movies)
How do you qualify "interesting" story line? What may be interesting to you, may not be the same for others.

Hi, Len,
of course it's a matter of taste. I don't want to define "interesting" story line. It would be great, if other users would give an example of something, they found interesting or at least better than the usual bordello-films. Our tastes may differ or not, there is no reason to retain our own preferences.
Personally I like film stories either funny or thrilling, and I regret that porns are not often like this, at least not nowadays.
I got some answers in the vintage erotics forum, and downloaded the films, but haven't watched them yet. Wonder, if my husband will like them.

Well, there are loads...

For example:

Rosemaries Schleckerland - a husband's business trip abroad is delayed at the last minute, and he decides instead to sample the local brothel scene. Meanwhile, his bored wife rings an old schoolfriend, only to find that she now works as a madam. Intrigued, she visits her, and even more intrigued she joins the action. So nothing stands in the way of a family reunion.

Bordell SS - during WW2, a Parisian brothel mostly serves the occupying German forces, which provides excellent cover for their involvement with the Resistance (same story as in the soft Le Diable Rose, though this is a dramatic version, not a comedic one).

Firework - a brothel for women. Tired of their largely middle-aged clientele, our male hookers arrange a visit by a class of schoolgirls, who in turn have sold this as a museum trip to their teacher. She realises what's happening on arrival, after all she's known to the locals as Orgien-Marlene.

Belle d'Amour - a porn version of Belle de jour. (I reckon this must have been attempted more than once.)

Petites filles au bordel - a financially struggling brothel is rejuvenated when the owners' daughter is introduced to the family business.

I jomfruens tegn - a brothel and a convent school reside next door to each other, and visitors to either tend to end up in the wrong place. After a mishap with a bottle of aphrodisiacs and a tank containing the local water supply lots of convent girls end up pregnant.

Hot Pursuit - the plot revolves around a sex tape of a successful pop singer, which she wants to get back, being hidden in the bed of an Amsterdam brothel.

In Les Petites Ecoli?res the Madame (Brigitte Lahaie) turns her brothel into a sex school for inexperienced women (and puts on 'graduation shows') to get round the attentions of the police.

One of the best of those with the very common 'young woman inherits a brothel' theme is Chopstix which was pretty good even in the censored form in which I first saw it.
