Hello,
I'm searching normal, i.e. not explicit porns -maybe Horror, Action or other films - containing HC-Scenes nevertheless.
Can anybody suggest titles?
Thanks in advance

Thanks, Samaritan! People have been less strict in written prosa. But anyway there ARE some examples stated on that Wikipedia page!

Re: searching "normal'" movies with HC-Scenes
Interesting list at wiki, but I wonder why Jess Franco isn't mentioned. I think he was one of the pioneers of this kind of thing.
Re: searching "normal'" movies with HC-Scenes
For my money, Jess Franco is way overestimated and overblown.
He has a lot of rabid fans out there, who swear he is a master filmmaker.
Evey once in a while I see on the web some new "remastered" and "uncut" version of his movies. I have no clue how many he made, and what versions exist and the versions released in various countries (in cinema, VHS, DVD, etc).
It would take a team of archelologists and film museum personnel to figure it all out.
He is at the other end of Ed Wood, more glossy, more caustic, more "crazy", but not that much more talented.
But perhaps one should also mention Jose Benazeraf, while we are at it.

Re: searching "normal'" movies with HC-Scenes
If you're comparing Franco to Ed Wood you have no clue about Franco. He is a very interesting artist, but he's not very easy to get into it. You really need to see some of his good films more than once or twice, because it needs some time to get to their point (and don't expect good genre films - no matter if sex or horror - because you won't find it here). Personally I don't like much of his stuff, but I'm very sure he will be even more "overestimated" in the future!
Talking about Benazeraf: I completely agree, that it's a big pity his films seem to vanish. They should be available in decent DVD editions. I bought a pretty expensive french DVD box recently with some of his early films , but was very disappointed that they just used old vhs masters for it. What a pity! I had hoped for something like the french Jean-Francois Davy DVD editions, where many of his films were newly transfered from original uncut elements.
To come back to the thread topic ("normal" movie with hc-Scenes), I must confess at the moment I can't think of a Benazeraf that would fit it. I know his "normal films" and his hc-stuff, both are very special, but no "normal" one with hc-Scenes. Could you give me a clue!?

Re: searching "normal'" movies with HC-Scenes
I saw some of Jess Franco's and Benazeraf's movies (in whatever condition they were shown) either in cinema theaters or on TV many years ago. I have seen a few "remastered" Jess Franco movies on DVD. Of what I saw of Franco he was interesting at the very beginning (even his b x w more commercial work), but very boring and pompous near the end.
He was too prolific and churned out too many turkeys to be very effective. You even admit you don't like most of his stuff, so for someone who has a lot of praise for him that is not a very flattering comment.
I prefer Mario Bava's work, at least he knew where to point a camera, tell a scary story, and make his performers act like they were doing a movie, not the has-beens and never-beens people that Franco hired and populated his trashy movies near the end.

Franco, though, had a stroke of singular good fortune: he met Lina Romay.

And she did not age very well, from pics I have seen of her.
But that's what I was talking about, Franco kept using the same performers over and over. It's called overexposure (a mild word to use in his case), and lessening the impact of his movies. I mean: Paul Muller, Howard Vernon, Mercedes McCambridge, and a host of others?

Do you happen to know which of the movies of Mario Bava have HC-Scenes?
Or do you know some of those?
