Euro titles - place, style,drama - ideas??
I am searching for Euro titles with a vivid sense of place or individual style - contemporary stories rather than historical epics - centred on an event or situation where (group) sex action is believable.
I.E. movies with more allure than US TV-style formula features; & the endless glut of characterless ?gonzo? scenes that are as erotic as chickens being stuffed on a production line,
They need not be elaborate dramas; modest productions delivering a credible context include Moli?s tableau ?Mosen in Ol? (Magma 2002) where, in one scene, spectators at a small club watch then individually join in an oil wrestling bout-turned-orgy.
Has anyone seen any Fabien Lafait?s films such as ?Tout Schuss? (various sex scenarios within a French ski resort) or Roberto Valtuena?s new urban comedy ?Helena Brasal?? In Valtuena?s ?The Gift? (Salma de Nora and Sylvia Lancome) a little acting talent added immeasurably to the impact.
Recent Mario Salieri movies, while well shot in camera terms, seemed a little lifeless e.g. ?Orgies Cacerales? and ?Naples Interdite?) Are there more watchable/memorable Salieri titles? ?Sex Italia 2? perhaps? Tips on locating older/out of stock Euro dvds also welcome.
Does anyone rate the Private title ?Pirate de luxe 8: The Club? with Elena Nikulina? Or ?Dopa 2?(Siria?s sequel to ?Athletes Sex and Drugs?). Or Tyra Misoux & Marlene in ?Ohne Bockschein?
Ideas re lesser-known French, Italian and small Euro productions especially welcome, rather than lavish glitzy titles . Grateful thanks for any recommendations.

I generally dislike recent Private Films (and it seems a day does not go by when they keep releasing compilations), but the older titles, especially those directed by Pierre Woodman (those 2-3 part films) have complex plots, large attractive cast, exotic locations.
I am not that crazy about Salieri movies, especially the use of older male actors.

This week I had occasion to watch a couple of my Salieri flicks, and indeed there it was: WWII stories, lighting provided by one of those energy-saving light bulbs (surely one of those deemed equivalent to a 20Watt bulb, though as usual no way near as bright as that), and b&w scenes.
Best bit was when I looked at my caps of Tutta una vita and noticed that the bloke playing a German army officer had his ears sticking out to avoid his two-sizes-too-large uniform cap covering his whole head.

This week I had occasion to watch a couple of my Salieri flicks, and indeed there it was: WWII stories, lighting provided by one of those energy-saving light bulbs (surely one of those deemed equivalent to a 20Watt bulb, though as usual no way near as bright as that), and b&w scenes.

This is why I bought a wholesale lot of incandescent ones before the deadline,
enough to keep me going for a few years. I'm all for saving the planet, but
not at the cost of me becoming a crepuscular troglodyte. I can't see how they
derived those wattage-equvalence figures when the apparent luminance is so
widely perceived as being much lower than advertised.
As to all that doom and gloom, I can't watch those flicks anymore without having
to hand a family-sized bottle of Prozac and some razor-blades : -)

Porn would provide fertile ground for those nerds who love pointing out the
many anachronisms in Hollywood flicks. The ONLY common ground I have with
these people is our condemnation of the 'Star Wars' line "It's the ship that
made the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs [!!!]", which grates on my
scientifically-trained bones.
