Don't be so cynical. I'm an individual, the addy belongs to a website I'm developing but the site itself will be active before Christmas so I might have to change it soon.
Its an old direct mail ploy to know where your unsolicited mail is coming from (or where your address ended up). If you spell your name differently, give a different middle initial etc etc whenever your subscribe or request info, then you can track who's selling their lists. Would answer earlier posts about unsolicited catalogues from new suppliers.
