Saw something interesting and relevant on the Entertainment and ?Celebes? gossip page of my local rag. It?s usually choc-a-bloc with inconsequential tripe and bland tittle-tattle. However, yesterday evening I spotted this?
"MEL C TATTOLESS
Mel C is having all her tattoos removed in a bid to look more FEMININE. After going solo the singer shed her clean-cut image and adorned her skin with a variety of permanent images. But it now seems Mel wants to relaunch herself with a new solo album next year and a new, more FEMININE look. So she?s getting the tattoos removed by laser."
Could this be the first sign that the tiresome tattoo craze has finally run its course? Could that which goes around now be coming around? Should shrewd business types now be investing in laser surgery clinics??Could be a winner 12 months from now when this year?s tats look about as cool as a steamin? turd.

I think tattoos can be very sexy but only in small doses - there are few sexier things than an unintentional glimpse of a small tattoo on a womans shoulder or at the base of her back.
Its when there are loads of them or they are really big that it puts me off. Another example is piercings - one or two is fine but too many is just off putting and sometimes, at the extremes, it can be scary!

BTW this is not meant as a criticism of anyone who has lots of large tattoos or loads of piercings - its your body and your choice. I know there are a few ladies who post here who have more of both than I would like but thats their right!
Both are very much a case of personal preference and the above is just that - my opinion!

Re: o/t Tattoo Era Drawing to a close?
I can't see the masses rushing to have their tattoos removed
As for their removal making Mel C more feminine...next joke
Maybe when she relaunches her carreer when this relaunch flops she should get fake tattoos like the rest of us
cheers

Re: o/t Tattoo Era Drawing to a close?
This is pretty much the way I see it also. I don't hate tatoos on women, but too much of anything can be a turn-off. One good thing about tats is, they can make IDing models easier as they change names/looks.
Re: o/t Tattoo Era Drawing to a close?
I think it's a bit harsh to judge tattoos as tiresome just because you're not an afficianado yourself. I myself am very heavily tattooed and I also happen to like women who are tattooed and/or pierced. Variety is the spice of life, different strokes etc etc........

Are you striped horizontally, black and yellow, from head to foot or just a particular bit of your anatomy?

Nope, it did come from the kind of motorbike I had at the time. I should change it to gsxrbloke but then I'd lose the wonderful reputation I've spent time building up in here LOL
