I noticed that some of the database's actress pages are without headshot pics (i.e. they have the "No picture available" placeholder image) and I was wondering if the admins welcomed help from us regular users in providing headshots. After reading the FAQ (plus a recent forum topic about the possibility of adding box covers) I still didn't have a clear answer, so I figured I'd better ask before uploading/posting a bunch of potentially unwanted pics to the forum.
For example, Alexis Crystal (aka Anouk) is currently missing a pic on her page despite her rise in popularity in the past couple of years, and I've got a variety of headshots of her that I'd be happy to upload. They've been properly cropped and/or resized where necessary and are fit the general "mold" of the headshot pics currently used throughout the database, so one of them is bound be to the liking of the db admin(s). Let me know if you're interested.
user-submitted actress headshot pics?
Re: user-submitted actress headshot pics?
Pics are always greatly appreciated.
Two options....
1) send to info@egafd.com
2) upload them here [just in cae you don't already know, don't use imageshack,
who will rapidly delete 'naughty' images. Use imagevenue instead, remembering
to tick the 'adult' box in the dialog].
Please bear in mind there's a queue for additions to the db, so patience is
also greatly appreciated : -)

And JJ., I believe you would WANT to know the origins/source of the headshot (from a photo gallery, screenshot from a movie) ?

Excellent point.
Without such info the pics become essentially unusable.

Re: user-submitted actress headshot pics?
That was going to be my next question actually: what's EGAFD's stance on copyright when it comes to media used in the database? Most of the pics I have appear to come from photo shoots done in conjunction with filming vid scenes so, on one hand, I can identify what dvd or video clip a given photo is related too, but identifying/remembering the source of the actual photo is another matter. I guess I'll have to do some site searches first and get back to you.
Though that brings up another question: who do you give credit to as the source when the video is available from one vendor (e.g. SeventeenVideo), but the photos are available from another unknown source (i.e. the pics are circulating on the web but they didn't come from the SeventeenVideo)? Because something like that is the case for a couple of the Alexis Crystal photos I have.
Sorry, I'm probably making all this way bigger of a production than it needs to be. I appreciate the feedback though, thanks.

I'm sure Alec or Phil could give you more cogent and correct advice
than me, but in general all that's needed is a legitimate credit.
Most outfits are OK with the odd picture being used as long as it's
credited- it's not as if we're ripping entire sets.
In your last example I suppose that if the pics originated with 17,
then they would be credited. If I made a cap of a flick I'd certainly
credit the film rather than myself, as the capper : -)
Best way is to suck it and see- if there are any iffy examples I'm
sure it will be pointed out.....
... and BTW, have you noticed that you and I are in the tiny minority
who para.-edge our posts so that the RH margin doesn't fall off the
page? I've given up trying to convert peeps now, after more than a
decade.
