Yes, you are right about DIE VERSAUTE CHEFIN.
Everything else seems to match properly about this movie.
Sorry I did not make the (obvious) connection.
I think it got to be abbreviated as DIE CHEFIN, as "versaut" was written in
small characters, and perhaps that importer/distributor did not deem important
to record the complete title.
However, I can only see how the DVD reads, and I have not seen how the
original box cover title was displayed.
It also explains why I could not find anything using "DIE CHEFIN" in my searches
