IL SEQUESTRO
(1997) 78 min
(France: OTAGES DU DESIR) by Colmax
dir: Frank Simon=Silvio Bandinelli
Please take note that the correct billing spelling of Betty Blue is Deborah Malgioglio
Also EGAFD states that Sipos' role is that of an "insinuated girl". That would be a
rather poor translation of her role. A better word would be "infiltrated girl"
(1) set in a bedroom/bed
Valentine Demy, Mike Foster [anal, he jerks off on a banknote she holds in
her mouth, which she licks clean]
(2) set on a pool table
Valentine Demy, R. Sipos (facial), Andrea Nobili (here with short, blond hair)
Nobili is a rich businessman who is Demy's husband
Demy only interacts with Sipos (the two women kiss, and lightly fondle each other)
(3) in a living room, on a black leather couch
Karli Sweet, Zenza Raggi, Reinhard [anal, DP, facials]
(4) set in a living room, on a couch
R. Sipos, M. Foster [anal, he jerks off on her tits]
(5) very brief scene on a small cot in a dingy warehouse (Demy has been kidnapped,
and Zenza wearing some sort of ski mask just briefly fingers her pussy)
V.Demy, Z. Raggi
(6) set in a bar, on bar stools
D. Malgioglio, J. Fabiani (sporting nice short blonde hair), Z. Raggi, Frank Gun
Gun is paried with Fabiani [brief anal, facial]], and Raggi with Malgioglio [facial]
(7)same setting as in sc 5
V. Demy, R. Sipos, Z. Raggi, Reinhard
Sipos [facial] is paired with Reinhard, Demy [facial] with Raggi

Neither is a particularly comfortable usage.
If the connotation is insinuated [INTO] or infiltrating, then I would prefer
'smuggled in' or better still, 'undercover'.
Is there any suggestion in the plot that Regina is an agent or spy of some
sort?

Re: Il Sequestro
I have to take a fast look, and report to you later.
But my assumption of "infiltration" is most likely the correct one,
but I will try to analyse the actual nuance from the film plot.

Re: Il Sequestro
This is the plot from the Colmax French-dubbed version I saw.
I hope and suspect that it faithfully represents the original Italian plotline.
Here it is, and at the end you will better understand that the role of Sipos is
really that of a member of a trio of kidnappers who are looking for easy money.
Stefano is basically wants to get rich quick, and to a great extent wants to use
part of the cash to help his younger brother Marco kick his heavy drug habit.
Sipos has infiltrated the gang apparently as a personal revenge against the rich
couple who have taken advantage of her as a sex toy/slave.
The beginning of the movie sets up and introduces the various characters:
Marco a drug addict (Reihard)
Stefano (Zenza Raggi) - a drug dealer
The crooked rich bad guy, Andrea (Andrea Nobili) - who also happens to have a drug habit
His wife, the "victim" of the machinations that are about to unfold is Valentina (Valentine Demy), who in the movie's first sex scene is having (paid) sex with a gigolo (Mike Foster).
The next scene introduces us to the "infiltrata" (in the Colmax French-dubbed version she is called the "infiltr?e") named Angela (Regina Sipos). The scene is set in a large room with a pool table. Angela is an employee of Andrea. Andrea is the type of man who enjoys buying things and people for business purposes and pleasure. At the moment his object of desire is Angela. He covers her naked body with banknotes and he and his wife Valentina share her over the pool table in a 3-some.
In the next scene Stefano brings a cute druggie (Karli Sweet) to his brother's Marco (Reinhard) apartment. She says she wants to buy some drugs which she consumes in the bathroom and when she comes out she tells the two guys that she has no money to pay for it. The two brothers are really pissed and decide to screw her in exchange.
Angela and the gigolo have sex (this does not seem to have any relevance to the plot other than padding the movie with just one
more sex scene.
Now we get to the heart of the plot (which is not too clear at this point). Marco and Stefano and Angela don masks and set up a rendez-vous for 11:00 in a factory (a pig, a clown and a man's face).
Andrea and Valentina arrive by limo as a desolate location and Andrea hands a man (supposedly a crooked politician) a suitcase full of money. But as the exchange is being made the 3 masked thieves arrive and kidnap Valentina. Valentina is taken to an abandoned factory and is told she is being held for a big ransom. Stefano calls Andrea who demands 3 billion lire.
In the meantime Stefano begins to molest Valentina and in exchange for some water, he fingers her pussy.
At a night club/bar Stefano meets up with another criminal type Billy (Frank Gun), who apparently deals with stolen goods, The two guys have sex with two lovely blondes sitting in the bar.
Back at the factory Stefano informs Valentina that her husband has agreed to pay the ransom, and that soon she will be set free. But this time she willingly accepts to have sex with him. He blindfolds her and he removes his mask, but her mask falls off and she gets to see his face. She promises not to say anything and the encounter ends there. Stefano talks things over with his two other accomplices, and it is decided to kill her. But Angela decides that before they kill her, she wants Valentina to know she is a member of the kidnapping gang. Angela wants to enjoy seeing Valentina screw like the real bitch she regards her of being. So Angela fucks Reinhard and Valentina is screwed by Stefano.
So finally the ransom exchange is made. Stefano brings Valentina and receives a bagful of money from Andrea. Stefano takes off his mask and fires off his machine gun in the air and threatens them not to ever say anything if they want to continue living. Stefano makes his two partners in crime believe he killed Andrea and Valentina.
I hope and suspect that it faithfully represents the original Italian plotline.

Re: Il Sequestro
So essentially Regina/Angela has enlisted with the male kidnappers to get
even with Andrea and Valentina. 'Infiltrated' only really works if the other
two are unaware of her real motivation- assuming they wouldn't co-opt her
without her having provided some sort of reason for her wish to join, why
shouldn't she just tell them the truth?
Anyhoo, amended/expanded. Thanks.

Re: Il Sequestro
Angela (Sipos) motivation in "infiltrating" the criminal group, is not really explained at the beginning.
All we know early on from all 3 kidnappers is that they are essentially in it
for the money.
The two brothers Stefano and Marco are really two small-time criminals.
Stefano is a drug dealer, and it is odd he is that much concerned that his own brother Marco
is a heavy drug addiction. So much so that Stefano sets up the kidnapping plan
to get rehab treatment for Marco. Angela's motivations are not really outlined.
Only when Stefano makes the fatal mistake in showing his bare face in Valentina's
presence, and the group decides to kill of Valentina, does Angela state her hatred
for Valentina in wanting to see her get fucked (supposedly for all the humiliating and sexual things
she had to be subjected to from the kinky rich couple).
Frankly I really don't understand the "infiltrating" part attributed to her in the
film plot. She was not infiltrating a criminal group for law enforcement agencies
or for a government agency for political/terrorist activities. Angela is there for
the money (personal financial gain) and the "revenge" part against Valentina comes into play only after
the trio of kidnappers decide to dispose of their victim so as to enjoy the big payoff from
Valentina's husband.
The film's end is not really conclusive as what will be the outcome. Stefano does not kill Valentina or
or her husband (did he become emotionally/romantically attached to her?). He only threatens them not to tell
anyone (the police) about the whole affair. Andrea has never advised the police of the kidnapping or ransom.
So presumably there would not be any reason why Andrea/Valentina should want to go to the
police after the fact (who would believe them at that point?).

Re: Il Sequestro
When I finished updating the entry the thought belatedly occurred that
perhaps we were expecting too much in terms of a coherent plot. This is
Pornland, after all : -)

Re: Il Sequestro
Silvio Bandinelli is not necessarily known for ingeniously plotted movies.
But then a lot of plot-driven movies from Italy and Europe don't have great plots
that are near Oscar material either.
Why does Demy need a gigolo in her life? No idea!
Why does Andrea's sex toy/employee need the services of a (same) gigolo? No idea either!
And if she feels humiliated by the kind of sex she gets from Andrea/Valentina, why
does she enjoy kinky sexual encounters with the gigolo (he asks her to lick his shoes early in their sex
encounter) which she enjoys
Why does the plot qualify her as an "infiltrated" member of the kidnapping gang. You would
logically suspect that since she knows the rich couple, it would be her that probably
would tell Stefano and Marco how to go about setting up the kidnapping and ransom?
Did she perhaps more logically "infiltrate" the rich couple rather than the kidnap gang?
No idea? None of these subplots are really explored even in subtle ways.
With a running time of 78 minutes, there is not much time to explore all these
interesting nuances of these people's lives.
Either these porn producers have no idea how to structure a plot (as thin as it
might be) or they assume that their porn audience has no interest in the plot
or are incapable of reasonably dissecting the incongruities of the various huge and
incomprehensible holes in the plot.
Note: JJ would you please add the character name of Valentina in Demy's filmography for this title, as
that is the name Angela refers to her when she confronts her during their
4-some near the end of the movie.
