Any regular VEFfers about?
I'm trying to find out what limits they impose on uploads [in terms of
mb-age or posts per day] . The FAQs are no help [they make ours look like
a compendium of clarity] and when I posted a polite query all I got from a
'Super moderator' [whatever the Hell that is] was a terse 'yer on yer own'
message. I'd have more luck joining the Freemasons : -)

I'm with VEF since 2008 and would say that in case of posting content - the more - the better. As long as screenshots and vids are on any of the allowed hosts.

You can see that various uploaders either split the vids in 2-5 parts, or upload the whole (on 1fincher or Mega).

You're good to go

I found this in the specific subforum rules:
"Members are allowed (5) posts containing (2) video links per calendar day".

Bit ambiguous, IMO. Could I do, say, 4 posts x2 links and 2 posts x1 link?
Anyway, will PM them.

The majority of posters there a "professional uploaders" who make their pennies by luring people into buying "premium" account on the filehosting site.

So I assume "2 links per post" was an inevitable countermeasure to curb this outrage.



PS: Oh and btw, what caused the blackout of EGAFD two months ago? That cryptic frontpage block of 0's and 1's looked and sounded almost like a death knell, but the resurrection has surely made a surprise!

Indeed. A plague on the sods.
A gang of mods [is there an apt collective noun? A sternness of moderators?
A finger-wagging? A banning?] put me straight. Pleasant and knowledgeable
bunch of guys [as I'd suspected]. All now well.

It was explained to me but not having the Geek Gene I didn't remotely
understand the explanation and had a headache for several hours thereafter.
"Server issues" wll have to suffice...
Egafd now has a new server. Let's just hope it's not Andy Murray : -)
