Yes.

These films were made as softcore films. I think at least one had added hardcore footage for the US market by the US company who released it - or maybe I'm thinking of another film. It was just at the time when hardcore films were beginning to be made in France, Germany, Italy (earlier in Denmark and the US) and there was a lot of this sort of thing to give recent softcore films a new lease of life as the market was beginning to demand hardcore. The hardcore footage was close up. Sometimes some attempt was made to match the costumes and background. Even some British films had this sort of additional footage - e.g. The Sex Thief.
So you will find hardcore versions of softcore films sometimes with just a small amount of hardcore footage, leading to persistent questions like did Laura Gemser (Black Emanuelle) ever do hardcore? Answer - no. Karin Schubert, however, was another question. But in spite of her later hardcore performances, the 70s films she did involving hardcore footage were probably just inserts again, the one in Black Emanuelle being most convincing.
It's why 70s porn is complicated, but fascinating - to me anyway. Some of these films are much sexier than full-on hardcore films or the softcore versions. Google Sesso Profondo for example. Explicit even in its softcore version, but there's a version with hardcore close-ups as well, making it appear that Marcella Petrelli did hardcore - again she didn't, though her softcore was much more explicit than would have passed the BBFC at the time.
And then there's Marie Fors?, who performed scenes hard but insisted they be shot soft, leading, in Butterflies, to body-double hard-core inserts in a scene she performed hard with her then boyfriend Eric Edwards - he has tanlines in the close ups but not elsewhere in the scene. And, sleeve notes have it, she tried to have sex with every male, cast and crew, off set in her films. Recent DVDs of her films have not been as carefully edited as they were originally, thankfully, e.g. Bel Ami.
I'd better stop or I'll be here all day.

What is ? I dont understand.
Re: Janine Reynaud
An actress who is not a porn actress.
Sometimes the distinction is unclear. There have been actresses in recent years who have performed real sex acts in mainstream films like Nine Songs (I think I've got the title right, but I'm willing to be corrected) for 'artistic' reasons. I would regard these as straight actresses because I wouldn't regard the films as porn films. In addition each actress draws the line between what they are willing to do and what they are not in a different place.
There have been lots of softcore films in the 70s and since where actresses have appeared nude and in simulated sex scenes but did not do hardcore. The artistic merits of these films varied enormously from films where the main aim was to titillate with nudity and so on (sometimes called sexploitation films) to films with more serious artistic intentions.
There were lots of sexploitation films around in the 70s and they were getting increasingly explicit. Some of the actresses who appeared in them were willing to do hardcore and went on to become porn actresses. Some were not and remained 'straight' actresses even though they mostly appeared in softcore sexploitation films.
The reason we put a note 'straight actress' against actresses in the database is because in the 70s there were lots of films with a mixed cast of porn and non-porn actresses and actors. It was necessary to include the straight actresses for completeness and to make identification of the rest of the cast easier.
