My schoolboy German tells me that '8.Fall' is roughly '8th
episode'?

Yes it does; in a way... It's supposed to do it; but it's wrong grammar.
It should be s.t. like "Achter Fall" / "Fall acht" / "Folge acht"... whatever...
But there are quite some variations:
Volume nine is titled
"Fall 9"
Volume three of the series is called
"Teil 3"
So one could probably think about opting for "Der Gerichtsvollzieher 8"
or
"Der Gerichtsvollzieher: Folge acht"... whatever...
But, I'm totally fine with the way you handled it!
