O/T Anyone heard of?

A model friend recently received a large batch of spam courtesy of MSN. Amongst it was mail from someone purporting to be a film Production Co-ordinator. Neither of us has ever heard of Her/Him or the company. They may even be genuine.Has anyone on this forum ever heard of Maxworth or Wendell Wallach? Any info would be gratefully received. Looks like she'll have to update her inbox protector & firewall, TIA. Fuji.

There is a Joe Wallach based in Paris but I doubt he would be spamming - unless someone is using his (good) name.

Thanks for that Marcus, this was an offer for a softcore shoot location in Turin, to be shot using 35mm film, didn't know anyone other than Hollywood was still using this medium! It's probably crank mail, but seems very elaborate & to what end?

Definately not Joe.
35mm is extremely rare these days. Strangely enough, when I did the Boogie Nights doc, that was shot on 35 - to my surprise. They had to change cartridge every 20mins or so.
As for Why? Well for one thing there is a mug born every minute as we all know, but secondly they MAY be genuine.
My opinion is that they should be treated with caution and all options/propositions thoroughly checked-out. This should be the norm anyway.

Very true, it was the mention of 35mm that made me curious! An expensive way to shoot porn! Caution is the name of the game! She's very careful about who she works for! since she was "Auditioned" & then widely published by one of our more erudite UK producers! As you say, they may be genuine, they've not asked for or been given anything other than a reply to register interest! It'll be interesting to see if anyone else has ever heard of them.
