It would be foolish to atempt to emulate them.
Each in their own way catered to the peculiarities of the wierd and wonderful people who populate this biz we are all in.

I can understand Wanksters desire to promote his club(nights) but he apparently does not understand US.

I'd be the last to pass-up a piss-up, but as has been said, let's keep it amongst ourselves so that any outrageous behaviour(GOD FORBID)!!
does not cause:
(a) a riot
(b) offence to others
(c) contravention of licensing laws on behalf of the owners of licensed premises.

In short...

all that Zane is trying to do is organize a drink with industry people which doesn't involve debauchery.

All he is/was asking is would anyone like to go out for a beer.

pure and simple.

i've met Zane on a few occasions and have had the pleasure of working with him and know he is a nice guy and is not trying to do anything untoward. This is his first time posting and obviously it was a little unclear but thats no reason to jump down his throat.

With this kind of unfriendliness all you guys do is promote a general bad feeling and put people off using this board all together.

Zane's posting sounded like an exclusive event exclusively for the Porn Industry and that's the point myself and Joe made.

If Zane has posted he was simply organising some social drinks, and not class it as an Industry Event I doubt he'd have gotten this reaction.
